FREDERICTON, NB–Provincial Health Minister Madeleine Dube has announced consultations have begun on the development of a drug plan for uninsured New Brunswickers.
Dube says about 30 per-cent of New Brunswickers do not have prescription drug coverage.
She says the consultation process will look into various aspects of a new program including, “What type of coverage, how it would work, who would be eligible, and cost sharing. We want to make sure it would be a system that would be sustainable.”
New Brunswickers will have until April 30th to put their comments on the Department of Health website. www.gnb.ca/health
Former New Brunswick Health Minister Dr. Dennis Furlong is heading up the committee.
