There’s a new fruit on the market in the United Kingdom — it’s a pear and apple hybrid being dubbed a “papple.”
The fruit is being sold in Marks and Spencer stores, but it’s not known if it will ever come to Canada.
The “papple” is grown in New Zealand.
It’s not the first hybrid fruit on the market.
There’s the “grapple” — an apple that tastes like grapes — the “plumcot” — a plum and apricot mix — and a pineberry — a white strawberry that tastes like pineapple.
