(CAMBRIDGE NARROWS) – A 17-year-old youth is facing charges after a fight at a house party south of Fredericton left a 23-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

RCMP say paramedics responded to a call Saturday from a home in Youngs Cove,
where the 23-year-old from Cambridge Narrows was treated for serious head injuries.

He was taken to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton
and later transferred him to the Saint John Regional Hospital.

The teen has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
