SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Sunwing Airlines has signed a new three year deal with the Saint John Airport that will see direct flights to two new Caribbean destinations.

Starting in February 2013, air travelers in the region can visit Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Sunwing’s vice president of marketing, Daryl McWilliams, believes these new destinations will benefit both Sunwing and the Saint John Airport.

“There’s three great choices to make and are very different from what’s offered elsewhere so I can definitely see this airport drawing from trades in Fredericton and Moncton.”

Sunwing will continue their direct service to Cancun, Mexico, from Saint John, as well.

Saint John is the only New Brunswick airport to flight direct to Cayo Santa Maria and Punta Cana.
