(Saint John)-The provincial government has granted a $207-million contract to Coastal Transport Ltd. to operate and maintain all ferry services for the Fundy Isles including Deer Island for 15 years.
Transportation Minister Claude Williams says the agreement, which takes effect Monday, will allow for a more focused management of the province’s coastal ferry service sector.
The company already operates the Grand Manan and White Head ferry
services.
