(Saint John)-This weekend, pharmacists from across the province will gather in Saint John for the NB Pharmacy Conference 2012.
One of the items they will be talking about says Alistair Bursey, President of the New Brunswick Pharmacists Association is the announcement from the Alward governments decision to implement a 10-day period to compensate pharmacies for inventory losses due to the generic drug reform program.
Starting on June 1, the New Brunswick government will cap the price of generic drugs at 40 per cent of brand prices. That means pharmacies will be forced to sell their inventory at a much lower cost than what they paid for it.
