MONCTON, N.B. – Free rides and 50% off tickets seemed to have brought customers back to Acadian Bus Lines.

Inter-city bus service returned to New Brunswick and PEI on May 16th, after a labour dispute halted bus service on last December.

Dennis Gallant, the Maritime Vice President of Groupe Orléans Express, compares the amount of business last week to that of a Christmas rush.

“A lot of people travelling, a lot of people shipping parcels. It’s been like a busy holiday season.”

Gallant says they will know know how many job vacancies there will be in the company, as the result of the work stoppage, which will be open for the public to apply for.
