PETERSVILLE, N.B. – RCMP are investigating a fatal collision on Highway 7 at Petersville Hill.
It happened around 12:30 p.m.on Thursday
Cpl. Pat Cole says the crash involved an NB Power three-quarter-ton truck and another vehicle.
The male driver of the other vehicle was killed, while the truck driver was taken to hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.
The highway was closed between Welsford and Geary for several hours.
The RCMP accident reconstruction team analyzed the scene for several hours before the highway re-opened late in the afternoon.
The name of the victim has not been released.
It’s unclear if any charges will be laid.
Police are investigating alcohol as a possible factor in the crash.
