SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Members of CUPE are getting behind changes to their pension plans.

The provincial government is proposing changes that would see employers and employees in New Brunswick pay more in pension plan premiums.

CUPE’s Norma Robinson says all members win with these changes.

“It’s very sustainable and I believe it’s the best thing that could have happened for the active members, who are paying into the plan, and for those who have retired.”

The government says the new model is intended to avoid large un-funded liabilities.
