PETERSVILLE – The RCMP have released more information on the fatal crash yesterday on Highway 7 near Petersville Hill.

Police say a 44-year-old man from Oromocto died around 12:30 p.m. when his northbound car crossed the centre line and struck a three-quarter ton truck heading southbound.

The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.

The name of the deceased is not being released at the request of the family.

The investigation is ongoing.

RCMP said yesterday that alcohol may have been a factor.
