SAINT JOHN, N.B.- The spring sitting of the New Brunswick legislature is expected to come to an end later today.
A number of bills are expected to receive Royal Assent including the repealing of the Saint John Pension Act.
Opposition House Leader Bill Fraser says the spring session will most likely be best remembered for the high profile resignation of Rothesay MLA Margaret Ann Blaney. “And Premier Alward’s outrageous patronage appointment to the former member from Rothesay as a retirement gift to her…a ten year job at Efficiency New Brunswick”, says Fraser.
MLA’s aren’t expected to return for the fall session until November 27th.
