MONCTON, N.B. – The RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit has destroyed a suspicious package found at the new CIBC branch on east Main Street.
The package was found shortly after eight this morning with a threatening note.
Codiac RCMP Constable Pierre Parenteau says he can’t specify what the note said, as it is being used in the investigation.
The package contained fireworks and coffee whitener.
As a precaution, police had to cordon off east Main Street for more than four hours.
No arrests have been made.
