TORONTO – A new construction company, formed out of the ashes of ConCreate USL, may be doing work on the Harbour Bridge and the One Mile Interchange.
The provincial Department of Transportation says no deal with Horseshoe Hill Contruction has officially been signed as of yet.
The company, however, is advertising for a number of jobs here in Saint John.
ConCreate USL went into receivership earlier this year, leaving timelines on the two projects in Saint John and others in doubt.
Horseshoe has recently taken over a number of other projects across the country that ConCreate USL had been working on.
Various reports say a number of senior level employees at ConCreate USL are heading up the new company.
Horseshoe Hill declined to comment.
The insurer of the projects, Guarantee Company of North America, has not returned telephone and email messages.
Another report says the arrangement is only awaiting the signature of the transportation minister.
