SAINT JOHN, N.B.- The first day of summer proved to be record-breaking in many parts of New Brunswick.
New highs were set at Kouchibouguac reaching 32 Celsius, Bouctouche at 31 and Bathurst at 30.
The high at the Saint John Airport was 25.5 , a few degrees shy of the record of 30 from 1953.
Fredericton checked in at 32.4 which just missed it’s all time high.
The provincial hotspot yesterday was St. Stephen at 32.7 degrees.
