SAINT JOHN – The Department of Transportation has confirmed what you first heard last week on News 88.9: work will resume soon on both the Harbour Bridge and One Mile Interchange.

Horseshoe Hill Construction Inc. of Bolton, Ont., is the contractor selected to finish the work, which will resume as early as this week.

Work on both projects had stopped in April when the original contractor, ConCreate USL, was forced into receivership after completing about seventy per cent of the work.

Horseshoe is a new company formed from the remnants of ConCreate, and employs several of the latter company’s workers.

The Department of Transportation says both projects are expected to be completed by the fall of 2013.
