OTTAWA – Prime Minister Stephen Harper has announced a small cabinet shuffle to replace the outgoing Bev Oda, and there’s a New Brunswick connection.

Ontario MP Julian Fantino will replace Oda as Canada’s new international co-operation minister.

Madawaska-Restigouche MP Bernard Valcourt takes on Fantino’s former role as the Associate Minister of National Defence.

Valcourt also retains his ACOA portfolio.

The two have already been sworn into their posts at Rideau Hall.
