ROTHESAY, N.B.- Rothesay’s town council will meet with Mayor Mel Norton on Monday to discuss an regional economic growth strategy for Greater Saint John.
Saint John Common Council approved Norton’s proposal Tuesday night to create a strategy for region.
Rothesay Mayor Bill Bishop says the region needs a new economic plan to bring a spark back to the area. “Things seem to be slowing down”, says Bishop. “We’re quite willing to participate and see what we can do to rejuvenate the activity in Saint John and Greater Saint John”.
Pending the approval of Rothesay, Quispamsis and Grand Bay – Westfield, the strategy would outline the top economic priorities, and vision for the region, over the next five years.
