FREDERICTON, N.B. – It has yet to be confirmed by Health Canada but New Brunswick’s health minister says it’s organ donation program is back up and running.
The province suspended the program after Health Canada deemed parts of it were non-compliant with national guidelines.
In a report in this morning’s New Brunswick Telegraph Journal, Dube says a four hour conference call was held with Health Canada yesterday where the group was reassured by the province’s commitment to implement a quality assurance program.
Dube says there were no organ donations lost as a result of the suspension of the program.
