SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The body of a 22-year-old UNBSJ student from Nigeria has been recovered by the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team from a local swimming area known as the gorge in Musquash.
Witnesses say the man jumped into the water from a road bridge approximately 10 meters high but failed to resurface after entering the water.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time until the family has been properly notified.
RCMP continue to investigate the suspected drowning however foul play is not suspected.
