SAINT JOHN, N.B.- Plans are being drawn up to rebuild a popular west side inn heavily damaged by fire earlier this year.
The Inn On The Cove suffered extensive damage in a January 8th blaze.
Owner Ross Mavis says it was an emotionally devastating experience. “When you put you heart and soul into building a business in a location like that, in a building that had a history, it is like a death in the family when something tragic happens like that”, says Mavis.
Mavis points out nothing has been confirmed in terms of a final decision.
He says it will be next year, at the earliest, before the business would be able to reopen.
