SAINT JOHN, N.B. – It was a busy Sunday afternoon at the Saint John International Airport.
Saint John fire crews and the RCMP were called to the airport after a CF-18 jet had to make an emergency landing.
Very few details are available this morning but Platoon Chief Joe Armstrong, with the Saint John Fire Department says it appeared the jet’s breaks had overheated.
Armstrong adds the pilot followed procedure, to properly shut down the jet, and fire crews stayed on scene until the situation was under control.
