SAINT JOHN, N.B. – A member of the RCMP’s Integrated Intelligence Unit says he’s not sure if the Bacchus Motorcycle Club will leave Saint John.

Local Bacchus Motorcycle Club president ,Matthew Foley, recently pled guilty to manslaughter in the death of Michael Thomas Schimpf, outside the club house on Pitt Street.

Constable Sebastian Leblanc says the Bacchus Motorcycle gang is an outlaw gang, which have been known to be involved in criminal activity.

“They have been known to be involved in extortions, drug trafficking, weapon trafficking. Historically they’ve been known to be involved in those kinds of actions.”

Constable Leblanc notes the Bacchus are known to have ties with the Hells Angels.
