HANWELL, N.B. – A 17-year-old Ontario boy remains in critical condition at a Saint John hospital, following a single-vehicle collision in Hanwell.
District 2 RCMP say the crash happened Saturday around 10:20 a.m., near the Deerwood weigh scales on the Trans Canada Highway.
It’s believed the vehicle left the road and rolled.
All four occupants of the vehicle, a 41-year-old woman, a 49-year-old man, a 14-year-old girl, and a 17-year-old boy, all from Brampton, Ontario, were transported to hospital in Fredericton.
Three have since been released, but the boy was transported to hospital in Saint John.
An RCMP reconstructionist attended the scene to assist in determining the cause of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing, however it’s not believed alcohol was a factor, and charges are not anticipated.
