FREDERICTON, N.B. – A well-known New Brunswick businessman is among ten people named to the Order of New Brunswick.
Industrialist Arthur Irving is chairman of Irving Oil.
He is recognized for his contributions to the economy and for helping preserve the province’s wetlands.
The order’s newest members include Acadian playwright Calixte Duguay and former jockey Ron Turcotte.
The list also includes author Raymond Fraser, cancer-care fundraiser Cindy Hewitt and educators Audrey Lampert and Philip Sexsmith.
The recipients will be invested into the order during a ceremony in Fredericton in October.
