(Saint John)-A 33-year-old Pennsylvania man who entered Canada illegally late Tuesday night was sentenced to 45 days in jail today in Saint John provincial court.
Richard Charles Gorman told court he attempted to cross the border at St. Stephen on Tuesday evening to visit his fiancée in the Moncton area.
Gorman pleaded guilty to failing to report for an examination, a charge under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Gorman was picked up after midnight by Rothesay Regional Police Force.
