SAINT JOHN, N.B.- Information contained in several search warrants related to the Richard Oland murder investigation has been released.
A publication ban has been lifted on five of the nine search warrants involved in the Richard Oland homicide case.
Within the documents the police officially refer to the death of the prominent business man as a murder which indicates the crime was pre-meditated.
Prior to the documents release the death had been referred to as a homicide.
The search warrants focus on Richard Oland’s son Dennis Oland’s residence, a boat at the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club,a vehicle, and the CIBC on King Street although many of the details were blacked out.
Lawyers for the Crown and Oland family are continuing to argue over restrictions being placed on information contained in four more search warrants.
Media lawyer David Coles is expected to return to court tomorrow to argue for further disclosure from the search warrants.
