Police are on the scene of a fatal crash on Cow Bay Rd.

Emergency crews were called to the single vehicle collision just after 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Police say the driver lost control of the vehicle which flipped into the ditch landing on the roof. the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

RCMP Sgt. Brigdit Leger tells News 95.7 the victim is a man in his 50s but his name is being withheld until next of kin is notified.

Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the driver to lose control.

Traffic on Cow Bay Rd. between Orion and Astour Dr. will remain closed until further notice.
