MONCTON, N.B. – A Newfoundland man is facing drug-related charges after RCMP seized 10 kilograms of cocaine earlier this week.
Police say the cocaine was seized from a vehicle travelling on the Trans Canada Highway near Havelock on Wednesday.
30 year-old Kenneth Peter Kraakman is charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The matter remains under investigation.
The arrest was made by the RCMP Roving Traffic Unit assisted by the Federal Operations Unit – East.
Police say they are committed to to deterring and disrupting the drug trade in New Brunswick.
