SAINT JOHN – The city has issued an update on this morning’s natural gas leak in the south end.
A two-inch gas distribution line was severed by Saint John Water crews who were responding to a water main break last evening at the corner of Crown and King Street.
The city says damage at the site was extensive and caused entirely by the water main break.
It says Enbridge Gas crews are on site and repairs to the gas line are expected to be completed this afternoon.
Saint John Water estimates that repair work to the water main will be completed by this evening.
