TRACADIE-SHEILA, NB – A family has been left devastated and homeless following a house fire on the Acadian Peninsula.
The blaze, which broke out at around 5 p.m last night in the Tracadie-Sheila area, claimed the life of an 8-year-old girl.
A 41-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman and three other children under the age of nine made it out safely.
RCMP say the man is being treated in hospital for burns.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but police do not believe it to be suspicious in nature.
