SAINT JOHN – We’re just hours away from the start of a new season for the Saint John Sea Dogs.
The two-time defending President’s Cup champions take on Bathurst tonight at Harbour Station to kick off their eighth season.
The night will begin with a ceremony recognizing Saint John’s regular season and playoff titles.
Sea Dogs’ coach and general manager Mike Kelly says he expects to see some nervousness tonight.
“Then you add a big crowd and all the excitement that goes with opening night, how can there not be nerves?” Kelly said. “There’d be something wrong if there wasn’t nerves, so I would expect our first period to be a little interesting.”
