FREDERICTON – The Alward government says it will release a public health report on the shale gas industry in its entirety after all.
Environment Minister Bruce Fitch says the report by Dr. Eilish Cleary, the province’s chief medical officer of health, will be
released on Oct. 15.
He says it will come out at the same time as a report by University of Moncton biologist Louis LaPierre, who gathered input on proposed shale gas regulations.
Cleary examined the potential health impacts of the shale gas industry.
The government had only committed to releasing some of Cleary’s report until today’s announcement.
