SAINT JOHN – A 27-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to several charges in last night’s alleged assault of a female jogger at Rockwood Park.

Nathan Dean appeared in court today on charges of assault with a weapon, sexual assault with a weapon, and committing an indictable offence while being masked.

Shortly after 7 p.m. last night, police say a masked man wielding a knife jumped out of the woods and attacked a female jogger, leading to the park being closed for an hour.

Dean has been remanded until a bail hearing next Tuesday.
