SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The most talked about murder in Saint John will take centre stage again as the search warrants in the Richard Oland homicide investigation are released.

As of one this afternoon, the revised documents will reveal to the public the names of witnesses involved in the case  but will protect the subjects and locations involved.

In a written statement last Friday Judge R. Leslie Jackson ruled police were not able to demonstrate that releasing the search warrants would jeopardize their investigation.

Any “hallmark evidence” police believe only the killer, or killers, would know will remain under wraps.

Judge Jackson ruled in December that the search warrants would remain sealed until June…triggering an 11-month long lawsuit,by two local media outlets, fighting for the release of the information.

Richard Oland was found dead in his uptown office last July.
