MONCTON, NB – A snowy but mild winter is in store for most of New Brunswick according to AccuWeather.com.
Senior meteorologist Brett Anderson says the surrounding ocean waters will play a big role in temperatures.
“The ocean water temperatures surrounding much of Atlantic Canada remain well above normal and we don’t see that changing anytime soon,” Anderson notes.
Anderson says although the winter should start out calm, by January we’ll enter a stormier period as cold air from the north collides with the warm ocean waters.
From November to April, Moncton receives an average of 350 centimetres of snow.
