SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The US election results seem to be the talk to the town today in Saint John.

Bernie Cormier, the Cultural Affairs Officer at City of Saint John, believes Obama’s win is good for Canada. “I can see his heart. I can see that he’s passionate and wants to do the right thing. I question the motivation of the other candidate.”

Caroline calls the election a real nail bitter.”They were so close. I was scared we were going to have four years of Mitt. I’m so happy it’s Obama and I hope he can change the economy.”

In the end, Obama defeated Mitt Romney by winning more than 300 electoral votes

He had to win 270 to retain his title.
