(Saint John)-HIV continues to be a very prevalent problem in Canada according to the new Executive Director of AIDS New Brunswick.

Stephen Alexander of Grand Bay-Westfield says people may be letting their guard down because we don’t see the amount of AIDS deaths as we did in the 1980′s and 90′s.

Alexander says there are just under one thousand reported cases of HIV in Atlantic Canada  through all segments of the population…


Alexander says about one-third of people infected with HIV don’t know it because they have never been tested.
