SAINT JOHN – A 27-year-old man accused of assaulting a woman at Rockwood Park will be back in court next week for a bail hearing.

Nathan Dean appeared in court today following a 30-day psychiatric assessment.

The incident happened October 3rd.

Police say a masked man wielding a knife jumped out of the woods at the park and attacked a female jogger.

He’s been deemed fit to stand trial and is remanded until returning to court next Tuesday for a bail hearing.
