SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Saint John common council has approved a motion by councillor Ray Strowbridge to have a look at revitalizing the annual spring clean up program.

The program was cancelled because the city felt it was costing too much to continue.

Councillor Strowbridge says there maybe money to operate the program again.

“It was cancelled due to money concerns but the reason why I’m entertaining the idea is because it’s costing the community and the environment quite a bit.”

Outlying areas around the city continue to operate a spring clean up program including Rothesay and Qusipamsis.
