(Saint John)-From Dec 30th  until Feb 23rd of next year the Potash mine in Sussex  and one in Saskatchewan  which are own by PotashCorp will be shut down.

Jim Quinn President & Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Saint John  says he talked to the company about the shutdown.

“First i would like to say that Potash spoke to me about their plan and this is  something that has occurred before in 2010 the last last  the world market really dictates their business”

Quinn says  its been a  busy year so far with Potash and he is looking for to the  mine to re-open in February.
