MONCTON, N.B. – After being declared a mistrial in July, the first degree murder trail of Fred Prosser will return to the courts this week.
Jury selection will take place at the Moncton Coliseum today where twelve jurors will be picked from more than 300 people.
Prosser is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Sabrina Patterson, in 2010.
The Albert County man will face numerous other charges including sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm.
Prosser’s original trial was declared a mistrial, this summer, after it was discovered that one of the jurors was a member of an anti-Fred Prosser Facebook page.
If the jury is selected today, opening remarks could begin on Wednesday.
