SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Investigators from police, fire and the department of environment will be on scene today to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a service master metal storage building along the Westfield Road.

Fireballs and thick heavy smoke could be seen for miles coming from the structure when firefighter arrived on the scene shortly after one.

Saint John Fire Chief Kevin Clifford says propane tanks in the building were a major concern.

Fire crews also had to deal with water issues after someone drove over on the waterlines with studded tires.
