ST JOHN’S,NL- Canadian Blood Services says the consolidation of it’s production and distribution facility to Dartmouth is now expected to be complete by next April.
That’s a few months later than C.B.S. President Graham Sher had estimated in comments to News 88.9 earlier this year.
Blood Services spokesman Paul Doucet says things are progressing toward an April 2013 final move. “As with anything sometimes the dates get shifted back a little bit”, says Doucet. “We want to make sure we’re doing it right so we’re going to make sure we have all our ducks in a row”.
Doucet says the University Avenue location will still be home to the organization’s second national call centre, as well as a blood stockholding unit and blood donor clinic.
