SAINT JOHN, N.B.- The MP for Saint John is encouraged by the recent talk of running a pipeline from Western Canada to the Irving Oil Refinery.

There was growing support behind the proposal to ship Alberta oil to Eastern Canada during the recent premiers and territorial leaders meeting in Halifax

The M.P. for Saint John Rodney Weston says this would be a huge benefit to our region. “Certainly if we can work to ensure that we bring a sustainable,dependable supply of oil at a lower price to our refinery it’s certainly going to be a huge benefit”.

Weston says the refinery would have to undergo some upgrades in order the handle the product coming in from western Canada.
