MONCTON, NB – Almost 600 exhibits were collected for the first degree murder trial of Fred Prosser.
Court heard yesterday that some of those exhibits went missing for several months but were eventually found.
During a cross-examination, Defence lawyer Scott Fowler asked RCMP Constable Matt Roy, formerly with Codiac detachment, how the exhibits went missing.
Roy, who received and assigned numbers to exhibits in the case, testified he believed the exhibits were always there and it was a case of human error.
But Fowler noted how the missing exhibits jeopardizes the entire sanctity of the bond room.
Several RCMP officers also testified about the search for Sabrina Patterson’s body and how remains were found off Shaw Road in Shenstone on November 6, 2010.
The Crown will call more witnesses today.
