SAINT JOHN, N.B. – While the original Murphyville site won’t light up this year, many of its’ signature pieces will in various locations.

Many Saint Johners have been calling Lou Murphy’s nephew Don to adopt figures from the well-known landmark.

Former liberal MLA Stuart Jamison rescued several of the pieces.

“One of the things was the church, the house next to the church, and a number of statues.”

Jamison says he’s pleased to have something to remember Lou by.

This will be the first Christmas in over four decades that Murphyville will not light up.
