SAINT JOHN, N.B.- Saint John Mayor Mel Norton says the true test of the current council will be the upcoming 2013 budget.

Norton made the comments in response to a recent poll showing area residents are generally satisfied with how the mayor and council are performing.

Norton says he appreciates the confidence of the community. “We,as a council, want to make sure that we honour that trust”, says Norton. “We recognize that there are likely going to be moments in time when not everyone in the community agrees with the direction”.

The Corporate Research Associates Poll shows about three quarters of people in Saint John are satisfied with it’s mayor and council.
