FREDERICTON, N.B. – It’s becoming more expensive to drive all-terrain vehicles on the province’s official trail system.
A mandatory trail permit system has been introduced by the provincial government and the New Brunswick All-Terrain Vehicle Federation.
Permits for 2013 will include a three-season permit for $25 and a year-round permit for $75.
Anyone caught on a trail without a permit will face a $172 fine.
The permit system is being implemented to ensure users pay for trail maintenance and development.
