FREDERICTON – The provincial Liberal Party is smiling cautiously about new polling numbers that show the party has moved into a tie in voter support with the governing Conservatives.
Party president Britt Dysart said the new numbers show the Liberals’ message of openness is resonating with voters.
And he believes recent trends are showing the party picking up support from people who are dissatisfied with the government.
“We just have to keep working hard, like we have been,” Dysart said. “Both in terms of organization and policy development, and work to earn New Brunswickers’ trust that we are open and receptive to ideas from all New Brunswickers.”
Dysart says the next few months will be spent opening up the policy development process and identifying people that may interested in running in the next election.
