(Saint John)-Residents living in the Redhead Road area are not happy about the news that two local construction companies want to expand their quarries in the area.
Deborah Kneeland who is chairperson of the Red Head Community Association says the residents have a number of concerns about the quarry expansion.
“We have concerns about wells there are a’lot of private wells even the city well could be affected were concerned about flooding in low lying areas were concerned about the storm run off and the wildlife as well as property values”
Kneeland says not enough people in the area were notified about the proposed changes from Plan SJ.
